Mountain bike ride Mendips near Cheddar Gorge

The Mendips: Blackdown Hill & Cheddar Gorge

Based on a route that MBSwindon did with the Bristol Trails Group way back in August 2012, we thought it was high time for a revisit. The Mendip Hills are great for mountain biking, expect plenty of climbing, rocky descents, stream crossings and some massive views from Beacon batch.  We have organised to park at The Swan at Rowberrow, this is a fabulous pub serving great food in a great location, that will spit us straight out onto the trails from their carpark. Being a pub, it will be perfectly placed to rehydrate us with isotonic beer & cider afterwards. Check out their website for a sneak peek: http://www.swan.butcombe.com/
Although the route will be slightly different, have a look at the 2012 ride report for what to expect: http://www.mbswindon.co.uk/ride-report-mendips-2012/
Hope to see you all there!
