Another day with the probation service. They had 8 really keen people, the van, the trailer and 4 wheelbarrows at their disposal. These guys shifted a hell of a lot of gravel. They’re coming back next week too (most of them). In the morning they surfaced the remaining part of the start of Piper’s hill.

We had the probation service here today with 8 people and a trailer. They finished off the surfacing on the downhill at Piper’s hill, the outlet section and half of the inlet section. Return route for new section in the area between the pond and motorway was cut through the undergrowth. Looking nice and simple now, not too many tight corners. The area of hill just before the gap in the hedge where the trail goes past the pond was recced and there are plans to make better
