Thriller in the Hills 2015

Phil Allum’s popular ride returns for the third year in a row.

Starting out with the first half of Croft Trail (Britain’s finest urban singletrack), this will head out towards the Malborough Downs, taking in some of Phil’s favourite climbs (there will be a fair bit of climbing on this route) and downhills.

Terrain will be the usual mix of byways and bridleways, taking in the famous (and infamous) Ladder Lane, finishing up with he second half of the Croft trail for a total of around 30 miles.

It is worth noting that there is no cafe or water stop on this route so you will need to carry sufficient food and water for the ride.

To give you an idea, here’s the ride report from 2013: http://www.mbswindon.co.uk/ride-report-phils-thriller-in-the-hills/

  1. Hi Guys,

I have recently moved to the area, would it be possible to join you on this ride?

    Chris

  2. Hi Chris,

No problem at all for you to come to an event or two as a guest before joining.

Note that this ride is quite long, but the pace will be set according to whoever turns up. Full details can be found in the “Key Facts” panel (right hand side on PC, right at the bottom on a mobile).

No need to book, just turn up.

  3. Thanks Phil for organizing the ride today, really enjoyed it (except the cramp). Quite a posse turned out.
