Ride report: mid Wales (Llanwrtyd Wells)

This wasn’t really an MBSwindon event. I spent two days riding in one of my favourite areas with some friends. The terrain,  views and beer were so good that I thought it would be worth sharing the routes and photos. I’ve done the Real Ale Wobble event since 2000 so I know where a lot of the good bits are, plus years of riding the bridleways in the area have shown up the interesting stuff.

Google map showing the two routes that we did (15 and 17 miles). There are plenty of others in the area too including the famous Doethie valley ride.

We’ve been staying at the Neudd Arms hotel for over ten years now. We like it because it has a battered charm, they’re pretty relaxed about a bit of mud and the food and beer are good too.
