Return of the Mac(intosh)

Urban Round

As the winter weather  sets in, it’s time to bring back the urban ride.  This is a good opportunity to stretch those legs and maintain some some level of fitness over the winter, and as the ride is on cycle paths and roads, there’ll be no need to wash an inch of mud off your bike afterwards.
You’ll need to have lights on your bike, but as the route is urban, a set of commuter lights is good enough.
The urban route is typically 15-20 miles, and, being Novice Friendly, is ridden at the speed of the slowest rider. It usually takes about 2 hours, but be prepared for it to take longer.
This week’s ride is led by Tom Scott, and there will be an opportunity to stop at Tesco’s in Shaw for refreshments if needed.
