The trail itself is looking a little worse for wear in places, mainly due to the bad weather that we’ve had for the last couple of months. Nothing that can’t be fixed with a little hard work and some gravel. Speaking of gravel, we are now in desperate need of some. If anyone knows of anyone who may be willing to donate some to us, or a business that will donate the money for it, then please get in touch. We are very fortunate to be able to do something like this on Council land that is accessible to a wide group of people, but without the material to surface it properly some areas won’t hold up during the winter months.
We’ll be organising the first of our trailwork days for 2010 very soon and all the information will be published here – you can subscribe to updates (see left hand panel) to get automatic notifications. Please do consider coming along to lend a hand if you can spare the time. We now have well over 300 members on this website & facebook, yet have had less than 20 who have actually got involved in some way.
