Kristian is leading this ride in the countryside around Castle Combe, famous for its race track and a filming location for Stardust, Wolfman and War Horse. The 17 mile route takes in bridleways, tracks and at least one river crossing. There’s a pub at the end for those who wish to stay for a drink.

I missed the group by a couple of minutes on Sunday after asking 4 people where the car park was and being directed to all the car boot ones!
Phoned the contact no but was told they didn’t have the contact no for the ride leader. Went home very disappointed after making a big effort to get there and was actually in Castle Coombe at 9.50 but no-one seemed to know where the car park was. Very confusing signs as you come in, some directions needed.
It’s a shame you missed the ride. We do try to be as clear as possible re meeting place, and there was a link to the car park in the ride description to familiarise yourself before the ride.
Hopefully next time will be a success and you’ll have a good ride.
It did say on the website that the contact no would be forwarded to the ride leader but that didn’t happen. Does that need updating?
