Quentin Wilkins (Q) will lead an undulating ride starting on the Ridgeway and then heading out towards the Lambourn Downs, taking in great views, watching the racehorses train, checking out the Hangman’s stone and, of course, the Uffington White Horse too.
Expect to ride about 20 Km (13 miles) with a total ascent of 322m (1057ft). Nothing technical so open to all but be prepared for a remote ride with no cafe stops. Most of the route is bridleways or farm tracks with the occasional road transition. However, some of the tracks have suffered badly in the weather with constant use by farm vehicles making some of them challenging. Hopefully, the weather will have dried them all up by then. The route will be finalised nearer the time when there is a clearer picture of the conditions.
