This ride will follow a mixture of blue and red marked trails in Swinley Forest, with some favourite off-piste routes around Crowthorne Wood thrown in for good measure. There might be a climb or two but Swinley is relatively flat so no more than 250-300m climbing all day, and only one biggish hill. If there’s enough interest we can plan an optional stop at jump gully or check out some more technical/fun bits. It will be a mixture of man-made trail centre-type riding along with more natural rooty, narrow, twisty singletrack on the off-piste parts.
Riders of all abilities are welcome to join. There will be a cake and coffee stop at the Cafe afterwards, but please bring drinks and snacks as we might be out till lunchtime.
Meet in front of the Look Out Centre. We’ll start slightly earlier at 9.30 as parking can get really busy later. Parking is £2 for 4 hrs or £4 for a day. Bike wash is available for £1 at Bike Hub.
Toilets and cafe will be open from 10.00. If it’s wet, a change of clothes might be needed for afterwards (and maybe spare brake pads too as sandy trail surface is known to eat pads up. 😉
