Beginner Ride 11 April

If you’ve ever thought of trying mountain biking, now’s your chance. In April, we are running a series of beginner-friendly rides.

Our second ride is on Saturday 11th April. Meet by the miniature railway at Coate Water, ready for a 9.30am start.

The ride will follow the cycle path up to Chiseldon, do a short cross country loop, and then head back down to Coate Water, a ride of about 12 miles. The route starts with the uphill ride to Chiseldon; the middle section is reasonably flat (with the usual selection of minor ups and downs); and the return leg is mostly downhill.

All you need is a bike in good working order, a water bottle, and a helmet. We’ll ride at the pace of the slowest rider, and there will be plenty of opportunities to stop and rest. It’s a great way to get some exercise, meet people and get to know the beautiful landscapes that surround Swindon.

Please note that all riders must be aged 18 or over.
