Now that the clocks have changed to mark the start of Winter, the ‘Midweek Ride’ becomes the ‘Urban Round’.
The aim of the Urban Round is to help members maintain their fitness over the winter when most of us do a bit less riding. Riders of all abilities are welcome to come along and no one gets left behind.
The ride usually follows a loop of about 20 miles around the outskirts of Swindon. We usually ride on tarmac or gravel so that bikes don’t need a wash afterwards (although a few muddy splashes are sometimes unavoidable!)
You’ll need lights, but a set of commuter lights should be OK. As always, bring a drink and spare tube or repair kit.
Wailun Chung leads the ride this week. Meet in the John Lewis car park, ready for a 7.00pm start. Rides usually take around 2 hours.
