It’s time to put those New Year’s resolutions to the test and get on your bike!
Wailun Chung leads the first Urban Round of 2018 on Wednesday, starting from the John Lewis car park at 7.00pm. You’ll need lights on your bike (commuter lights are fine), along with a drink and a spare tube or repair kit. Wrap up warm!
If you haven’t been on an urban round before:
The route can vary, but it is usually around 20 miles (or about 2 hours) long, and reasonably flat.
The ride is mostly on cycle paths and minor roads. You’ll usually finish the ride with a clean bike (but not always!)
Most importantly, all riders are welcome. You won’t get left behind, whatever your level of fitness.
Hope to see a few new faces there. Be aware that the ride usually starts promptly at 7.00, so get there in plenty of time.
