Whilst our very own Jane Hawkes is having her own adventure ‘down under’ in Oz, Graham Burgess is going to do a sneaky ride on her home turf around Wick, near Bath.
Despite having done this route a couple of times, Graham is going to call this an “Adventure Ride” just in case he gets a bit lost 🙂
It’s a great little route made up of three loops with a shared climb. Some of us did it as an “unofficial” ride last September with Jane at the helm. Generally it’s not an overly technical route; one or two bits may be a bit challenging but there is always the option of getting off and walking. Oh, and there are a few hills (it is Bath area so what do you expect!). There are also some great views over Bath and the surrounding area and pretty scenery.
All welcome, and no one will be left behind…
The ride starts at Brockwell Park, Wick (nearest postcode BS30 5PD – This is Wick primary school which is literally next to the park – plenty of parking).
The route is around 20 Miles. Possible pub stop en-route but bring snacks/drinks etc. just in case I can’t find it LOL. (There was a farm cafe last time but I’m reliably informed it has shut up shop).
We can have a beer in pub at Wick afterwards.
Bring the usual – working bike, spares, food/drink, suitable clothing and some pocket money.
