Randwick slide fest

Randwick slide fest

Gary Palmer will be showing us the delights of the trails in Randwick Woods.  Having been there a few times I can say that there is some brilliant riding there.  Gary writes

“The distance won’t be massive, there will a fair bit of climbing
Some of the runs will not be for the faint hearted, especially as it’s likely to be wet

There will be lots of smiles for miles”

By road
3 miles (4.8km) north-west of Stroud, between A419 and A46. Follow Whiteshill/Edge road from Stroud. One mile (1.6km) after Whiteshill village at the top of the hill take left-hand turn signposted to Haresfield. Follow this lane for approx. ½ mile (0.8km) and Shortwood car park is on left-hand side. Take care as it’s a narrow entrance
Parking: Shortwood car park (National Trust, grid ref SO832086)
SatNav: Postcode for car park is GL6 6PP

Hi, Would this ride be suitable for a beginner?

    Hi,

All our “Novice Friendly” events are marked with a little “n” icon. If this is missing then it might be down to the distance or technicality of the ride. Check out the “Key Facts” box which can be found on the far right (if viewing on a PC) or at the very bottom (if viewing on a mobile) of the listing – that way you can make your own mind up.

The fact that the ride leader hasn’t marked it as “Novice Friendly” and says “Some of the runs will not be for the faint hearted” suggests this one might not be for you? But have a look out for one of the “Novice Friendly” ones?
