This week’s Wednesday night ride starts and ends at Coate Water. Meet by the diving platform ready for a 7.00pm start.
Last week’s ride was cut short, so we’ll try it again this week. We’ll head up the cycle path to Chiseldon and on towards Ogbourne. Turning off to the right, we’ll cut across country and emerge on the Lower Ridgeway near Barbury and begin the return leg towards Coate.
This is quite a low-intensity ride (14 miles with just a handful of short climbs) and there are some real fun sections to ride. Riders of all abilities are welcome and no-one gets left behind.
We’ll start riding in daylight, but you’ll need lights by the end of the ride. You’ll also need a drink and a spare tube.
If you are parking at Coate, the gates are not closed at night but there is a height restriction – so don’t put your bike on the roof! You’ll also need to pay for parking.
