Meeting at Coate water, ride leaves at 10am heading up to Hackpen hill via the Ridgeway.
The first of my best descents is down to Temple over the water gullies then heading down to Rockley to make our way up Frees Ave for the descent down to Marlborough. We will stop for coffee then make the climb out of Marlborough to ride along the Downs to pick up the Ridgeway. We continue to make our way down another one of my favourite descents past the forgotten village of snap to pick up the climb to Upper Upham. Crossing over the Ridgeway we descend down to Lower Upham to pick up the railway line back to Coate water.
The route will be on country lanes, the Ridgeway, gravel tracks and some tarmac.
The route is not supposed to be a muddy one but there may be puddles.
The route is approx 26 miles with a cafe stop, the pace will be a steady and due to the distance it’s not a novice ride.
The ride should take no more than 4 hrs.
