Ladies Ridgeway Marathon

Ladies Ridgeway Marathon

New ride leader Hilda-May will lead this local ladies ride.

The route takes in Ogbourne St George and Bishopstone before heading over to Uffington. We will stop for a spot of lunch at picnic benches by the White Horse before heading home via the Radio mast hill (this time we’ll be going down 😊).

This is not a novice ride.  While not technical this is a long ride (60km) with a fair amount of climbing (1000m).

I would like to come as I joined a few months ago but haven’t come on a ride yet.

Hi Sue , this ride will be much more like the Castles ride that you did in the summer but a bit longer and more climbing . We will however rest up at the tops of those hills for a breather . It is not a novice ride unlike our usual ladies rides but if you enjoyed the Castles ride you may like this . Take into account the weather on the day too , extremes of weather can make the distances much harder

    Hi Hilda
I am new to the club road today for first time with club members. I have ridden on the ridgeway before and would like to join your ride.
    Cheers

    Hi Jane.

Hilda has been away, so probably hasn’t seen your comment yet.

I know that you will be more than welcome to join the ride. I rode the route with Hilda and her husband a few weeks ago. It is a cracking route, but a long one. So please bear Debbie’s comment above in mind. Hope you have a great ride!

    Hi.
Been on a some lovely rides recently with the group. I’ve just joined as a member 🙂 I’m planning on joining tomorrow. Looking forward to it. I’m used to distance riding but usually on the road so i’m looking forward to the challenge.
