Hi there, I’m thinking of joining a cycle club to build up fitness, but I’m not too confident that I won’t embarrass myself with my pretty slow cycling! Please can you advise if everyone’s fit & fast, or is this type of trail ok for a beginner? I’m not a complete beginner, I’ve cycled 15 miles with a good rest in the middle, but I’m useless with climbs until I gain more fitness & lose a bit if weight….hence hoping to find something suitable that will be safer in numbers. If someone could advise, I’d be very grateful. Many thanks Joy

Hi Joy, the ethos of the club is that no one gets left behind with the pace of the ride dictated by the attendees on that ride. We aim to provide clear descriptions of the rides to help people understand the type of ride it will be. The novice friendly label shows that the ride is aimed at riders new to riding in a group and would be the ideal ride to start with or the ladies only rides. We look forward to seeing you on a ride soon. Kat

Hi Joy, like Kat said, I will be leading the ride and we stay together as a group regardless of experience or fitness. These rides are about enjoying being out in the countryside on our bikes, building confidence, learning new skills, making new friends and having fun ( might even involve eating cake)! I will be riding the route the day before if you want to join me for a few miles? Pm me if interested.
