Another day with the probation service. They had 8 really keen people, the van, the trailer and 4 wheelbarrows at their disposal. These guys shifted a hell of a lot of gravel. We had the probation service here today with 8 people and a trailer. They finished off the surfacing on the downhill at Piper’s hill, the outlet section and half of the inlet section. Pete directed that whilst Phil and Tom did some work on improving the woodwork grip. The jump half way down Piper’s hill [...]

Rob Hill and Tom spent around 6 hours digging out the new return on the section between the pond and the motorway. The link through was also built, so the new layout was opened by the end of the day. Later in the day Ian and his son arrived and marked out the new zig [...]

Return route for new section in the area between the pond and motorway was cut through the undergrowth. Looking nice and simple now, not too many tight corners. The area of hill just before the gap in the hedge where the trail goes past the pond was recced and there are plans to make better [...]
